Fauci, Steinman win prestigious Lasker Prize
Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the man considered the primary architect of the current campaign against AIDS as well as Project BioShield, has won the Lasker Prize. Rockefeller University's Dr. Ralph M. Steinman, who made major strides in understanding immune responses to disease, also won.
